Fiji Officials on full alert as heavy rain continues

DISMAC officials in the Northern division are on full alert as rivers and creeks have started to swell up in several areas due to continuous heavy rain.Heavy rain is also being experienced in Ba, Lautoka and Nadi and Police are closely monitoring the situation as a flash flood warning remains in force for the Western and Northern parts of Viti Levu and Vanua Levu tonight.And the Nadi weather Office is calling on people living in low lying areas not to become complacent as heavy rain forecast for most of the Fiji group is expected to cause flash floods later today.


PAKISTAN - Round about 23 houses were destroyed in different parts of the county including in Balochistan due to torrential rain and hail while 7 people were injured in rain related incidents. The recent spell of rain and hailing in Noshanki and Quetta BROKE THE SEVEN-YEAR RECORD.
