Temperatures soar for Easter break

Weather Observations
United Kingdom

Temperatures have soared to levels way above average for this time of year, as millions enjoy their Easter break.

The usual temperature is around 12C (53.6F), a forecaster for MeteoGroup UK, the weather division of the Press Association said.

But the unseasonal burst of sunshine over the weekend and Easter Monday will see the heat reach 19C (66.2F) and possibly even 20C (68F).
