April Storm Forecast to Bring Thunder, Snow to Eastern U.S.

April 13 (Bloomberg) -- As one wintry storm moves off the coast of northeastern Maine, another weather system gaining strength in Colorado may bring thunderstorms, rain and some snow as it moves east this weekend.

The latest storm has blanketed parts of Colorado with about 4 inches (10 centimeters) of snow, and is forecast to dump as much as 7 inches more before sweeping into the Plains, according to the National Weather Service's Hydrometeorological Prediction Center in Camp Springs, Maryland.
