Experts call them "pinch points" -- the buildings and people who will be hardest hit when a major earthquake ripples through the New Madrid fault-line.
Earthquake specialists like Gary Patterson say locating and fortifying these "pinch points" -- hospitals, nursing homes, poor neighborhoods -- is an important piece of the earthquake preparations under way in Shelby County government and at the University of Memphis.
